'Momento' Film Review

A classic film directed by Christopher Nolan.

A man, suffering from short-term memory loss, uses notes and tattoos to hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife.

The non-linear storyline truly made the film. One of the most well-planned, enjoyably confusing non-linear films I've seen since Peter and Vandy (One of my favorite romantic comedies that depicts what most real-life relationships are like.)

The lighting had a blue tint that carried an the perfect ominous tone for the storyline. The choice to use black and white for the flashbacks clarified if we were in real time at that moment or not.

The way Leonard's discoveries were shared bit by bit as he worked through them was a thrilling way to get the information across to the audience.

The repetition of the line "Remember Sammy Jenkins" reminded the audience that when we discovered a plot point, Leonard was discovering them as well.
