'The Spectacular Now' Film Review

'The Spectacular Now' directed by James Ponsoldt is about a 'hard-partying high school senior who's philosophy on life changes when he meets the not-so-typical "nice girl".'

Shailene Woodley did not disappoint. The choice to not do her makeup was nice because it strayed away from the typical attractive lead role and focused more on Woodley's acting talent and her character's personality.

The film was successful in the fact that notable actors were cast, yet managed to not slip into the stereotypical acting that could be associated with this plot.
