The subtle, laid-back vibe that 'Somewhere' exuded was refreshing. The dialogue bared truth and the cinematography was beautiful. The shots lingered, representing Marco's melancholy life before Cleo shows up. The ending seemed a touch long. I expected the film to end a couple scenes prior to the true ending.

The locations chosen were exquisite. The frivolous nature of living in the Chateau Marmont
and driving a Ferarri was a perfect choice for Marco's character. The film easily proves that owning excess material objects does not provide happiness in any way.

One thing that did extract from the captivating story was the continuity. In some scenes Elle Fanning wore braces, but in others she was not wearing any.
